The Indian Law Resource Center is urging Indigenous leaders to get involved in helping draft a strong OAS American Declaration by participating in the next OAS meeting scheduled for April 14-18, 2008, in Washington, D.C. 

In addition, the next United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues will take place April 21-May 2 in New York City.
